Operations Support

GP supported shuttle solid rocket booster recovery and refurbishment operations for the following:

  • USBI's high pressure and hazardous materials vessels/systems (PHMS)
  • Hypergolic fuels
  • Hydrocarbon fuels
  • Hazardous thermal application materials
  • Super pressure hydrolase systems by performing:
    • Engineering analysis
    • Inservice inspections
    • Operational reviews
    • Configuration control

Engineering and Technical Support

GP provides engineering and technical support to the facilities and operations engineering groups of USBI at Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Air Station. This support involves system design and operations reviews such as:

  • As-built verifications
  • CADD support
  • Identifying and recommending corrective actions to safety and design requirements discrepancies
  • Scheduling and performing in-service inspections
  • Maintaining configuration control on certification documentation

Certification

GP also developed a certification program to identify, track, and correct any pressure vessel/system (PV/S) discrepancies.
