Ford Motor Company Projects

• Arc Flash Electrical Safety Training: General Physics personnel developed and delivered OSHA-mandated electrical safety training for supervisors and maintenance personnel at multiple facilities. This included assembly, powertrain, stamping and engineering centers. General Physics is one of only two vendors recognized by Ford as being qualified to deliver this training.
• Performed an electrical knowledge assessment of the UAW electrical repair personnel at the Louisville Assembly Plant; based on this assessment, developed and conducted training to improve the troubleshooting skills of the electrical repair personnel
• Developed and conducted training for Michigan Truck Assembly Plant end-of-line electrical repair personnel on familiarization, troubleshooting, and repair of the new electrical systems used in the 2003 Expedition and Navigator models. As a result of this training Ford has asked us to develop and deliver extensive new training on 2007 Expedition/Navigator and new extended Expedition
• Developed and conducted end-of-line electrical training for:
  • 2006 F-250/350 at Kentucky Truck Plant
  • 2005 Mustang and Mazda M-6 at the Flatrock Auto Alliance International Plant
• Trained UAW members in continuous improvement processes and tools at a US truck assembly center
• Facilitated joint work group committee and provided input and direction for the implementation of self-directed groups at a Ford manufacturing facility
• Developed and implemented site-specific training in support of self-directed work groups
• Developed joint communication strategy in support of self-directed work group implementation
• Completed development and/or delivery services for the Vehicle Operations division of Ford Motor Company:
  • Launch training support
  • Skills management system
  • Tonnage management
  • Reliability and maintainability for the plants
