Ontario Hydro Services Company Project

GP was contracted to provide professional consulting services to assist Ontario Hydro Services Company (OHSC) in the planning, development and implementation of position and facility-specific training support of the OHSC Emergency Preparedness Program. The program addressed the emergency preparedness roles and accountabilities carried out by OHSC personnel from the executive ranks to front line operators and service centre staffs.

GP's scope of work for the OHSC Emergency Preparedness Program included:

  • Assistance in the generation of higher level E-Plan policy documents defining all major elements of the expanded non-nuclear plan
  • Assistance in the generation of lower level procedures and instructions focused on actual implementation of the plan
  • Generation of appropriate training materials to support roll-out of the new plan
  • Classroom-style training for approximately 1,500 employees in over 32 locations, followed by a comprehensive drill program

  • Crisis communications plan and implementing procedures

  • Conducting training sessions
