What is GPiLearn?
GPiLearn is a learning management system (LMS) that provides Internet-based learning solutions. Our vast web-based training (WBT) library of over 1,400 lessons can be accessed from this site. GPiLearn also allows clients to create their own site-specific training documents using GP's extensive library of plant operating procedures, system descriptions, job performance measures, drawings, and other materials. This site-specific information can be created by your staff or ours. GPiLearn allows users access to all of their training material in one convenient location.
What do I need to access the training?
For full learning benefits, computers should be set up with the following:
- 56k dialup or faster Internet connection
- Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher—This free software can be downloaded from the Microsoft web site.
- Windows Media Player—This free software can be downloaded from the Microsoft download center.
- Macromedia Flash Player 4.0 or higher—This free software can be downloaded from the Macromedia web site.
- Adobe Reader 5.0 or higher—This free software can be downloaded from the Adobe web site.
- Java Runtime Environment (JRE)—This free software can be downloaded from the Sun Microsystems web site. Click on the "Download J2SE JRE" link, then follow the installation instructions for the JRE.
Do you have standard reports managers can access?
The portal contains numerous standard reports for managers and supervisors. Contact us for a list and description of all the available reports.
Will this replace our current training program?
Our online training programs were developed to complement your current training program. GP realizes that not all skills can be learned through online training.
GP offers consulting assistance for your company to help you design, develop, implement, and evaluate effective training solutions that will fit your needs.
What does the learning management system (LMS) do?
The LMS will help administrators assign and track the progress of your employees. Administrators can assign particular courses of interest to each employee or let users select the courses they would like to complete. Administrators are able to run reports to see what courses/exams users have taken, the score of the exams, and what users have left to complete.
Instructor-led courses, structured OJT, and other types of "blended" training can also be assigned and tracked through your own customized site.
Can GP's content be purchased and loaded on our server?
GP's content can be purchased and integrated into your company's learning management system (LMS). GP will work with you to ensure that this integration is a smooth process.
Can GP's content be customized to be site-specific?
GP's "off-the-shelf" content can be customized to be site-specific. Your company can modify our courseware instead of re-inventing the wheel.
