Pandemic and Bioterrorism Exercises

Pandemics and bioterrorism pose a unique challenge because of their high casualty rate and their potential to significantly affect your ability to respond. GP's bioterrorism exercises focus on hospital and health care system levels of preparedness to respond and recover from a biological/pandemic event, in accordance with established plans and procedures. Pandemic exercises generally focus on two phases: alert and pandemic. The alert phase covers the events leading up to a pandemic including surveillance, lab procedures, epidemiology, public information, and inter-agency communication. The pandemic phase, or response module, focuses on isolation and quarantine issues, surge capacity, mass care, and fatality management.

Pandemic influenza can also pose a major threat to your agency or company's workforce. As a result, Continuity of Operations and Continuity of Government (COOP/COG) issues are critical, and the effectiveness of your pandemic and bioterrorism preparedness planning takes center stage. GP specializes in developing comprehensive exercises that address the threats unique to your business, state, or community to ensure that you can implement your plans.
