Continuity of Operations and Continuity of Government (COOP/COG) Planning

The GP Difference in Continuity of Operations and Continuity of Government (COOP/COG) Planning

GP is highly experienced in developing continuity plans for business and government. We write our plans in easy-to-understand text, and we customize them to your needs—no canned approaches.

If you are looking for a more comprehensive solution, you can count on GP for everything from physical security planning and vulnerability assessments to exercises that assess the viability of all preparedness plans. With GP, one resource delivers all of the services you need to ensure the security of your people and organization.

Because of their high casualty rate and their potential to significantly affect your ability to respond, pandemics and bioterrorism pose a unique challenge. As a result, Continuity of Operations and Continuity of Government (COOP/COG) issues are critical, and the effectiveness of your response planning takes center stage.

According to a study in the Harvard Business Review, at least 75 percent of American companies are not sufficiently prepared to handle an unfamiliar crisis, whether the risk posed is natural, technological, or manmade. If you'd like to move into the top 25 percent with a well-developed business operations continuity plan, GP can help.

GP can assess and improve your current plans or draft new ones from the ground up. Updated and new plans will help reduce your corporate risk, increase your safety, minimize downtime, recover quicker, and ensure rapid restoration and continuation of your organization's key mission functions in the event of unforeseen threats.

The best way to ensure that your company or government organization quickly recovers from crisis and presents a strong face to citizens and customers is to have an effective COOP/COG plan in place. To test your plan and ensure its effectiveness, GP specializes in developing comprehensive exercises that address the unique threats to your business, state, or community.
