Critical Infrastructure / Key Resources Planning

The GP Difference in Critical Infrastructure / Key Resources Planning

GP personnel have solid hands-on experience that will ensure the safety and security of your facility. Our staff is trained to provide you with a product and a program that will serve you well.

Fundamental to any planning activity is building an understanding of threats and risk. GP is highly skilled in assessing vulnerabilities to critical assets and developing or improving plans to mitigate the effects of threats to your physical, environmental, or logistical resources. We draw on extensive industry experience, physical security expertise, lessons learned, and a deep understanding of the National Infrastructure Protection Plan (NIPP) to deliver a comprehensive, all-hazards plan that is customized to your unique needs.

Our Unique Approach to Critical Infrastructure / Key Resources Planning

GP utilizes a systematic approach to identify the threats, vulnerabilities, and risks to critical infrastructures and key resources. Based on the Criticality-Accessibility-Recuperability-Vulnerability-Effect-Recognizability (CARVER) and Homeland Security - Comprehensive Assessment Model (HLS-CAM) vulnerability assessment programs, GP conducts assessments with the security and safety of your facility being paramount in the result of the assessments. We ensure that all applicable documents are thoroughly reviewed prior to ever stepping foot into your facility. This review includes past inspections and reports from emergency events at your facility and the surrounding area. Once GP arrives at your facility, we conduct numerous walk-throughs and conduct interviews with staff from each area of the facility. In addition, we conduct interviews with responding agencies that support your facility in the event of an emergency. GP then compiles the data, provides the assessment report to the client, and assists in writing the corrective action plan. We then help you develop required training and exercises necessary to implement the plan.

Our Experience in Critical Infrastructure / Key Resources Planning

Some assessments that GP has conducted include the following:

  • Evaluated and upgraded the US Army Pine Bluff Arsenal, Arkansas, Directorate of Law Enforcement Security and Safety Support plans. Followed plan revisions with exercises.
  • Identified critical state infrastructure sites, facilities, and systems for the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency.
