The GP Difference in Physical Security Planning
You can count on GP for the knowledge and skills necessary to take you beyond merely complying with standards to delivering world-class services to help you mitigate risk and minimize the effects of disaster on your valuable assets.
Whether your facility is a government building, a critical infrastructure facility, or a commercial headquarters, today's complex risks demand a thorough approach to physical security and all-hazards risk mitigation. GP's assessments consider related codes and standards to include US Army Field Manual 3.19-30 The Physical Security Manual, DoD Regulation 5200.76M, and other regulatory documentation pursuant to the type of facility.
You can count on GP to dig deeper and find areas of human, physical, environmental, and technological vulnerabilities that may otherwise be missed in your efforts to harden your physical structures and infrastructures against man made and natural threats.
Our Unique Approach to Physical Security Planning
GP develops a comprehensive program—we deliver the inspections, audits, plans, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and ongoing programs you need to improve and maintain the security of your people and facility. We assist you by conducting thorough reviews of your documentation, training programs, and past inspections. We then identify the problem areas from the documents and conduct an in-depth, hands-on inspection of the facility. GP then confers with area experts on the facility to determine its strengths and weaknesses. We inspect all of the aspects of the physical security plan (or assist in writing one if none exists) and the physical security measures that are already in place. This inspection includes fencing, lighting, access control, alarms, and remote video. We then look at the security personnel's equipment, knowledge of capabilities of the equipment, maintenance, and employment. Upon completion of the information gathering, GP assists you in the development of the corrective action plan and the exercises to test the site.
