Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear Explosive and Weapons of Mass Destruction (CBRNE/WMD) Awareness Training

The GP Difference in CBRNE/WMD Awareness Training

GP has more than 20 years of experience, both military and civilian, in CBRNE materials management, emergency response, and educational programs. GP's subject matter experts have played a role in biological decontamination, chemical weapons destruction, and commercial hazardous materials operations.

GP's CBRNE/WMD Awareness course is available to private organizations as well as through the DPETAP and the DPETAP Supplemental Delivery Program (DSDP).

To prepare for a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive (CBRNE) or other weapons of mass destruction (WMD) attack, you must first be aware of what to look for. GP delivers comprehensive CBRNE/WMD awareness training to government, first responders, and private organizations to educate you on the types of incidents, the impact of each type, and the safe responses to these incidents. GP's course is based on doctrine from the US Army, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), among others.

This course will help jurisdictions meet the following capability-specific priority outlined in the Department of Homeland Security's National Preparedness Goal: Strengthen Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive (CBRNE) Detection, Response, and Decontamination Capabilities.

Our Unique Approach to CBRNE/WMD Awareness Training

This course is designed to provide a basic understanding and awareness of the CBRNE materials associated with WMD, as well as the signs and symptoms of exposure. This course gives the responders the tools to effectively recognize the indications of a WMD or terrorism incident and the signs and symptoms of exposure to the threats.

Our Experience in CBRNE/WMD Awareness Training

GP's CBRNE/WMD Awareness course covers protection from CBRNE hazards. Course objectives help participants enhance protection and mitigation strategies and introduce recognition, avoidance, isolation, and notifications techniques. Strategies and techniques are implemented using a variety of in-class scenarios.

The Domestic Preparedness Technical Assistance Program (DPETAP) has been the on-staff technical assistance provider for the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) since 1999. Our DHS-authorized technical assistance training and services are one of the most requested services available from the DHS.
