INPO ACAD Basic Curriculum (ABC)

General Physics Corporation is proud to offer a training product to assist you in meeting the requirements for training and qualification of nuclear power plant personnel. GP's new ACAD Basic Curriculum is designed to meet the requirements of the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) ACAD documents.

The ACAD Basic Curriculum is based on the requirements for fundamental training as addressed in:

• ACAD 90-016 Guidelines for Training and Qualification of Nonlicensed Operators
• ACAD 92-008 Guidelines for Training and Qualification of Maintenance Personnel
• ACAD 93-008 Guidelines for Training and Qualification of Radiological Protection Technicians
• ACAD 97-012 Guidelines for Training and Qualification of Chemistry Technicians
• ACAD 98-004 Guidelines for Training and Qualification of Engineering Personnel
• ACAD 00-003 Guidelines for Initial Training and Qualification of Licensed Operators

This program is designed for the new and beginning student. The material is written to a 9th grade reading level. There are example problems in the student text and practice exercises at the end of each chapter. For more details, review our sample materials. This material is designed to be used to provide the initial fundamentals training recommended by INPO for Nonlicensed Operators, Licensed Operators, Chemistry Technicians, Radiological Protection Technicians, Maintenance Personnel, Engineering Support Personnel, and Shift Technical Advisors. Additionally, it addresses fundamental topics identified in the INPO ACAD document that are not required in the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's requirements in NUREG-1122 and 1123. The training materials can be used as a refresher to prepare licensed operator candidates who have been away from any fundamentals training, before entering into a Generic Fundamentals Examination training class.

ACAD Basics Curriculum training materials are owned by over 40% of the US commercial nuclear sites.
